Our Tallow Lip Balm is handcrafted with grass-fed tallow that we hand render in small batches from ethically sourced tallow obtained from local Pacific Northwest farmers. Combined with calendula and nourishing botanical butters, it provides long-lasting moisture and protection for dry, chapped lips throughout the year.

Apply a small amount to clean, dry lips as needed throughout the day. Reapply before spending time outdoors in windy, cold or dry conditions, and before bed for overnight moisture and protection.

Because this lip balm is highly concentrated and packaged in a compostable cardboard tube, gently push up a small amount from the bottom of the tube and apply directly to the lips. A little goes a long way.

About the Ingredients

Grass-Fed Tallow: Rich in naturally occurring fatty acids that help nourish lips and support moisture retention.

Tallow has been used in traditional skincare for centuries and is prized for its simplicity, effectiveness and compatibility with human skin. Rich in naturally occurring fatty acids such as oleic acid, palmitic acid and stearic acid, along with vitamins A, D, E and K, tallow helps nourish the skin and support a healthy moisture barrier.

Because its fatty acid profile closely resembles the oils naturally produced by human skin, many people find that tallow absorbs beautifully while providing deep, long-lasting moisture. It is especially popular among those with dry, rough, mature or weather-exposed skin.

Our tallow is carefully wet rendered and triple filtered to create a clean, high-quality ingredient with only a very mild natural scent. Depending on the product, you may notice the aroma of herbs or essential oils, while our unscented products have little to no noticeable tallow scent.
