MEGAN GURULE IS THE OWNER AND HERBALIST BEHIND WILD WOMEN HERBS, BRINGING 15 YEARS OF HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE TO HER PLANT PRACTICE.
After nearly a decade working as an EMT, Megan earned her BSN in 2011 and began her career as an acute care RN in a variety of clinical settings. Though she loved nursing, she soon realized her true calling was with the plants and devoted the following years to deepening her relationship with herbal medicine.
In 2015, she founded Herbal Moon Apothecary, which steadily grew into a thriving business that allowed her to leave nursing and fully dedicate herself to plant healing in 2018. The following year, she opened the Wild Women Herb School, where she began teaching aspiring herbalists and nature lovers how to identify, grow and craft safe, simple herbal remedies.
In 2021, Herbal Moon Apothecary officially became Wild Women Herbs and relocated to a peaceful five-acre homestead near the historic Independence Valley in western Washington. There, Megan, Santiago and their three children continue building a life rooted in herbalism, homesteading and ancestral wisdom.
Megan has continued her herbal education through the Herbal Academy, Evolutionary School of Herbalism, Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine, One Willow Apothecaries, Matthew Wood Institute of Herbalism and Wild Rose College of Herbal Medicine.
