Our Tallow Face Balm is handcrafted in small batches with hand-rendered grass-fed tallow sourced from local Pacific Northwest farmers, luxurious prickly pear oil and carefully selected botanicals. Free from artificial fragrances, parabens, sulfates and unnecessary fillers.

Massage a pea-sized amount onto clean, damp skin as the final step in your skincare routine. Add additional balm as needed to lightly cover the face and neck. Use morning and night for best results, though many customers especially enjoy applying it before bed as part of their evening skincare routine.

About the Ingredients

Grass-Fed Tallow: Rich in naturally occurring fatty acids and fat-soluble vitamins that nourish skin and support a healthy moisture barrier.

Tallow has been used in traditional skincare for centuries and is prized for its simplicity, effectiveness and compatibility with human skin. Rich in naturally occurring fatty acids such as oleic acid, palmitic acid and stearic acid, along with vitamins A, D, E and K, tallow helps nourish the skin and support a healthy moisture barrier.

Because its fatty acid profile closely resembles the oils naturally produced by human skin, many people find that tallow absorbs beautifully while providing deep, long-lasting moisture. It is especially popular among those with dry, rough, mature or weather-exposed skin.

Our tallow is carefully wet rendered and triple filtered to create a clean, high-quality ingredient with only a very mild natural scent. Depending on the product, you may notice the aroma of herbs or essential oils, while our unscented products have little to no noticeable tallow scent.

We also appreciate tallow for its sustainability. As a traditional ingredient made from a natural byproduct that might otherwise go to waste, tallow reflects a more mindful approach to skincare and honors the long-standing practice of using the whole animal.
